Remote work is not only about the freedom to work from anywhere, rather it’s a way of life. In addition to choose where you work, you can often choose when you work.

Today, we saw this Hacker News post, where a user ac2022 shared their experience:
"My job was easy and I had a lot of control over my time, work location, etc. I didn’t think it could be the job that was causing me feel depressed."
But while freedom to choose where and when you work is important, it may not be enough. A human being also wants to make decisions, have responsibility, and feel that their work is valuable.
"What I didn’t realize while my work gave me freedom on work schedule, it didn’t give me any real freedom to make important decisions."
The person quit their job and got a new one in a Series D startup:
"I believe in their mission and I have freedom to make real decisions here. /../ However, more importantly, work is 1000 times more exciting. I feel alive again. Wife and I are not fighting anymore. I work longer hours but have more energy at the end of day."
